Synthetic brake fluid.
Can be used with DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1. Exceeds the American DOT 4 standard and complies with the specifications of leading car manufacturers (BMW, VW, MAN) for passenger car and truck brake fluids.
Why XADO DOT-4 contains a revitalizant:
The revitalizant contained in XADO DOT-4 forms a very smooth (Ra < 0.06) layer with anti-corrosion properties on the walls of the main and auxiliary brake cylinder parts and pistons. This prevents the formation of sludge and corrosion. Increases the reliability and stability of the braking system. Even at a dangerous moisture level, the risk of brake failure when using XADO DOT-4 is reduced by 2–2.5 times compared to using brake fluid without a revitalizant.
Why change the brake fluid?
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning the fluid can absorb moisture.
New brake fluid has a very high boiling point (above 260 °C) and remains incompressible even under intensive brake heating during braking. The fluid immediately transmits the impulse of the driver pressing the brake pedal to the brake pads. Over time, moisture that penetrates through microscopic cracks and pores of the sealing devices settles in the brake fluid, lowering its boiling point. If the brake pads overheat, the brake fluid may boil. When the fluid boils, vapor and gas bubbles form. The fluid becomes compressible. The braking impulse from the pedal is not transmitted immediately, and the driver feels that braking is delayed.
The boiling point is 160 °C.
After 2–2.5 years of use, the brake fluid should be replaced.
